Our Player of the Year Award began in 2009. It gives us the opportunity to reward girls for their diligence, commitment, enthusiasm, development as a player and contribution both on and off the pitch to the progress of our Camogie Club. Each year the decision seems to get harder and harder as girls give school camogie their all. I would like to congratulate all of the recipients of this award and to thank them for their efforts, dedication and support. Well done girls!

CAMOGIE- Player of the Year

Camogie Testimonial
Aoife, Aisling and Lauren

Last year we trained every Wednesday morning at 8.15am, on Thursdays at lunchtime and we played matches on Wednesday afternoons. We came very close to the final but we sadly lost in the quarter final. Our parents were a great help during the year. We had a team of 32 girls from 4th to 6thclass. Of course we can’t forget our great teacher Ms. Mullins, she showed us new skills and encouraged us throughout the years. We think camogie is a great sport, it keeps you active and fit. We love playing matches and we always try our best.

What does camogie mean to you?

Camogie to us means determination and enjoyment. When we are in training we concentrate on learning new skills. We listen to our coaches on what we need to improve on. It also means that we become better players. When we play a match we try our best and enjoy ourselves and even if we win or lose we know that we have tried our best and had fun.
