Ms. Cranny’s class had so much fun on Sports Day! We really loved the sack race and the three legged race!
We also had a great day out on tour at Clonfert Pet Farm! There was so much to do! We fed lots of animals and even got to hold baby rabbits! There was lots of fun to be had on the bouncing castle, in the playgrounds, on the go karts and playing mini golf! We didn’t want to leave!
Junior Infants have had lots of fun this month! We have been learning about homes and community. We have started visiting the play room once a week and have really enjoyed our role play. We have role play in the house, the post office, the supermarket, the café, the school and the hairdressers
We have had a very busy month of March! Junior infants have been working very hard on their reading and have now moved onto their second reader.
We had so much fun on Pyjama Day. Our friends in 6th class brought us to the library and read us some bedtime stories.
Junior Infants have been learning all about Spring. We went out on a sunny day for a nature walk to spot all of the signs of spring in our school grounds. We saw buds on the trees, heard the birds singing and saw daffodils growing. We love spring time!
Ms. Cranny’s class were very busy this month!
We really had great fun doing gymnastics in P.E, we are very good at climbing and balancing!
We made energy guzzling monsters to help everyone to remember to save energy! Remember to turn off the lights when you’re not in the room and don’t forget to switch off the TV when you’re not watching it! We are all making an effort to come to school in a green way now that spring is here!
We also really enjoyed making love heart people as presents for our loved ones on Valentines Day!
Ms. Cranny’s class have had a very busy month! We have started our first reading book and are really enjoying reading the story about our Wandsville friends. The girls are reading a page of their book every night. Keep up the hard work girls!
We also had lots of fun learning about winter. Have a look at our funny penguins!
Both Junior Infant classes worked hard in preparation for their Nativity play, which took place on Thursday 18th December.
The girls sang and performed beautifully.
The 5th Class choir also sang at the performance, led by Ms Baxter.
Santa made a special appearance on the day too!
Many thanks to all involved.
Ms.Cranny’s class had lots of fun during science week!
We did some experiments to learn about sound. We made guitars using butter tubs and elastic bands. We also made shakers that were filled with different things to make different sounds.
We visited the science fair and had a great time learning about the science experiments other classes had completed.
Look at all the little witches!
Junior Infants had great fun on Witches Walk Day!
We sang our songs for the whole school and made lots of spooky Halloween Art.
We have been having lots of fun in school. We love making jigsaws, playing with lego, and making necklaces out of links. We made balloons during art and we cut these out ourselves.
On Cow Day we cycled and walked and scooted to school. We each received a lovely hi-vis jacket from the RSA which will help us to be seen when out walking or cycling.
We also designed our own helmets using nice bright colours.
